QuickInstaller downtime
12/1/2024: QuickInstaller experienced downtime for approximately two weeks.
From around 11/14/2024 to 11/30/2024, with some earlier interruptions in early November.
I initially suspected issues with the virtualization platform I was using for hosting. To address this, I switched to Proxmox, as I was already considering a more robust solution.
The system seemed stable for over a week, so I believed the problem was resolved and left for a two-week vacation in Cape Verde. Unfortunately, the server went down the same day I left. Upon returning, I identified and resolved the issue by replacing an internal HDD cable.
However, I’ve realized the current hosting setup is too fragile and unsuitable for a 24/7 production environment. I’m actively exploring external hosting options to ensure greater reliability, but this transition will require time and effort. I appreciate your patience during this process.
Submit Applications
NOTE
Please do not send requests asking for status on your submitted applications.
For applications that are not in the QuickInstaller database, users can submit the application.
Submitting apps is very easy.
1. Just find a program that is not already submitted as shown in the screen shot below:
2. Enter all required fields as shown in the screen shot below.
NOTE: To quickly find values for the program, use the links on the left, e.g. Download url.
3. Press the Submit Program button.
That's it, the program is now submitted and will be reviewed!
NOTE: Any submitted program needs to be verified and tested before it is available. This could take from 1-30 days depending.
